AdapTable for AG Grid Licenses
AdapTable's licensing is designed to be as easy to use as possible, while giving potential users plenty of options to tailor the licence to their precise requirements.
Application-Based
All commercial AdapTable Licenses are Application based.
Important
This means that you pay a single amount irrespective of the number of developers, end users or deployments
AdapTable offers 2 different Application License models:

Single Application License - AdapTable can be used in one named application

Multiple Application License - AdapTable can be used in unlimited applications

It is possible to upgrade from Single to Multiple Application License as your usage requirements grow
Caution
The AdapTable licence does not include licences for AG Grid which need to be purchased separately
License Duration
All AdapTable Licenses are annual.
Licences are typically agreed for an initial 3 year period with scope to renew.
Note
- If the license is not renewed AdapTable will continue to work fully and no functionality is removed
- However an expired License removes eligibility to receive any future AdapTable updates
License Usage
All AdapTable Application Licenses can be used in 2 ways:

by members of the organisation licensing AdapTable (i.e. for internal facing software)

in an application sold freely on the open market by the organisation licensing AdapTable

Both Application Licences are available in 2 License packages:

- None of the licensing options requires you to audit the number of end-users you have
License Key
Each client is given a unique License Key that provides full access to all functionality in AdapTable.

Information provided in the license key includes:
- licence start and end dates
- name of the company awarded the license
- type of Application License (Single or Multiple)
- type of Package (Premium or Enterprise)
- name of the licensed application (if using a Single Application License)
Caution
- This key should be supplied when instantiating AdapTable via the
licenseKeyproperty in Adaptable Options - If the license key is not present, AdapTable will display a watermark and run with reduced functionality

FAQ
What happens if we do not renew our AdapTable Licence? In a word nothing. AdapTable will continue to work indefinitely without any interruption. Failing to renew will remove eligibility to new AdapTable versions and releases but existing implementations containing AdapTable will continue to work as before.
Do we need a license to undertake a Trial of AdapTable? Yes, you do. There is no charge for a 30 day trial license but you do need to get in touch with us, so that we can provide you with the License Key needed to access AdapTable's rich functionality. Once you successfully complete your Trial, you can migrate to the Application License and Package most appropriate for your requirements.
Can you help us with the bureaucratic challenge of having to buy 2 separate Licenses for AdapTable and AG Grid? Unfortunately not. They are 2 separate products with 2 separate Licenses (and different license models). However its worth noting that the license for the forthcoming AdapTable extension for Infinite Table for React covers full usage of both products - so only one license (and one purchase agreement) is required.
What happens if it will take us many months to build an Application following our Trial? We allow an additional month, following a successful POC, for continued use of the Trial License in your development until you are ready to go live, so long as longer term licensing arrangements are in place. If you require a longer development period than that, you will need to purchase an Integration License - this allows you to access support and product updates during your development phase.
How much do Licenses cost? The cost of a license depends on whether it is Single or Multiple and which Package is used.
We are a software company so we don't know how many end users we will have. Is there a model that works for us?. Yes: all AdapTable Licenses include a fixed annual price that allows for unlimited usage (and unlimited users).
How long does a license last? A license lasts for 1 year from when it is signed. It is also possible to agree a multi-year license and/or pricing formula where there is a desire for greater certainty and a majority of our current clients prefer this option. At the end of the license period, if you choose not to renew, AdapTable will continue to work without interruption, but you will no longer be eligible for updates or Support.
Does a license include access to newer versions and improvements in functionality? Yes, we guarantee a minimum of 4 quarterly updates a year which continue to expand the functionality available. These are available to all license holders. Enterprise Packages aim to include approved new feature requests in new releases as early as possible.
Does a license include Support? And if so, how much? Yes, we provide full support through Zendesk Support Tickets
What happens when AG Grid releases a new version? Does the license cover that? We guarantee to support any major new version of AG Grid within 60 days of its release (but in practice, far sooner). We try to ensure backward compatibility but obviously if there are breaking changes then we will support only the newest version.
Does the AdapTable license include one for AG Grid also? No it does not. If you plan to use AG Grid Enterprise, then you must pay for that separately.
Can you act as an AG Grid reseller (or vice versa)? No, AG Grid and AdapTable have very different license models which makes reselling for each other impossible. Furthermore many, if not most, new AdapTable users already have AG Grid Licenses so it is easier, and cleaner, to keep the 2 products totally separate from a licensing perspective.
